Solid foundations for growth have been laid at Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School, South Australia, with the completion of the school's wonderful Foundation Centre.
The beautiful, open-plan learning space, built with the aid of an LLL Loan, welcomed excited Reception students at the start of Term 3, 2024.
The multi-purpose, two-level building makes excellent use of its proximity to the tree-lined sports oval, with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing children to learn, explore and play in a user-friendly, natural light-filled environment.
LLL team members Head of Client Relationships Samantha, Client Relationship Analyst Joe, and Communications Officer Jason were delighted to be shown around the stunning new facility by Principal Will Wallace and Business Manager Tanya Rowland.
"We were incredibly passionate about having a contemporary learning space that reflected modern pedagogy," Principal Wallace said.
"We did a lot of work researching a range of architecturally award-winning environments to come up with a design that reflected our need for flexible group work, connection between indoors and outdoors, and a learning space that would enable us to support a range of functions and pedagogies for the students inside it.
"We've found it to be a very functional and useable space."
Growth mindset
The Foundation Centre is a big step forward in realising the school board's vision of becoming a double-stream school, with a planned Early Learning Centre making Golden Grove an even more attractive choice for local families.
"We've certainly seen a strong increase in enrolments and interest in the school since the Foundation Centre was announced and with construction now complete," Will continued.
"It's been a huge momentum booster for our school in terms of showcasing the innovative style of learning that we offer, the broad focus on academics, wellbeing, co-curricular, and spiritual growth.
"It has generated immense interest from prospective families, which we've seen in enhanced enrolment levels."
Broader mission
LLL's strong partnership with Golden Grove extends to the school's immensely popular annual fundraising fete, which LLL has sponsored for the past two years.
"We've absolutely loved working with LLL," Will said.
"We appreciate the broader mission and vision that LLL has in supporting the ministries of the Church and Lutheran schools across Australia.
"We've found the customer service and communication second to none."
