We were proud to support our Platinum Partners Lutheran Youth of Queensland (LYQ) at their inaugural LIFT Conference aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking and leadership skills in young people.
Around 50 Year 8-11 students from five schools gathered at Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell Queensland, on Friday 24 October to take part in the LIFT (Lead In Faith Together) Conference for the first time.
LLL Marketing Manager Rhianan was in attendance with our signature LLL Coffee Cart re-purposed as a Milkshake-mobile for the younger audience.
Rhianan was invited to participate as one of six Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help students navigate a hypothetical scenario designed to stimulate critical thinking.

In this fictitious scenario, almost a million humans had evacuated Earth and were on their way to new lives on Mars.
As part of the Mars Colonisation Crew, students broke off into groups to concentrate on a key task to welcome the Earthlings, such as housing, culture, communications, and agriculture, and seek expert advice from the relevant SME in coming up with a plan.
After lunch, students focused on a real-world issue that they wanted to improve in their own local contexts, with many keen to form collaborative and welcoming spaces for multi-year level connection in their schools.

Truly inspiring
"These young leaders are a true inspiration; their can-do attitude in tackling issues relevant to them is inspiring," Rhianan said.
"These motivated teens left the conference with a plan to move their own community-based projects forward. I was really impressed with their ambition and lateral thinking.
"I couldn't help but feel energised by their passion and have faith that their solution-focused outcomes will become a reality that will benefit their schools and congregations, thanks to the knowledge gained at this LIFT Conference."
It was our pleasure to participate in the inaugural LIFT Conference and we look forward to supporting it again in future.
