We were pleased to support a powerful moment of reflection, prayer, and unity for our nation as Partner sponsors of this year's Australian National Prayer Breakfast.

LLL CEO Karen Pienaar and our Board Deputy Chair David Kalisch were delighted to host a table at the wonderful morning of Christian fellowship at The Great Hall, Parliament House Canberra.

This year's event was hosted by the co-chairs of the bipartisan interdenominational Parliamentary Christian Fellowship, Mr David Smith MP and Mr Henry Pike MP.

Karen and David were delighted to be introduced to Mr Smith, who expressed his gratitude for LLL's sponsorship of the event.

Powerful sense of fellowship

Chief Relationship Officer Scott and Marketing Manager Rhianan also attended to foster new relationships and hear from a range of speakers, including a keynote address from leading Christian author and podcaster Dr John Dickson, who encouraged Christians to go about their daily lives with equal part courage and conviction.

"LLL was blessed to be able to provide support to this wonderful event through the missional partnership that exists between us and our valued investors and borrowers," Scott said.

"It was a really valuable way for LLL to connect with our Lutheran community in Canberra, and the wider national Christian community.

"There was a powerful sense of fellowship in the room."

Since 1986, the Prayer Breakfast has brought together leaders and communities to pray for our nation's future, with this year's event the largest in its history with 550 guests.

Catch up over coffee

After the Prayer Breakfast, the LLL team caught up for a coffee with NSW-ACT District Bishop Richard Schwedes, and members of local congregations from Woden Valley, Tuggeranong, Belconnen and Warrambui.

"It was fantastic to sit around the table and connect in a more informal setting," Scott said.

"It was great to have a chat, listen to feedback, and hear inspiring ideas about how we can continue to empower steps of faith, not only in Christian communities in Canberra, but across the country."
