We were delighted to host a special Shrove Tuesday Devotion in association with our Platinum Partners Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS).
Our North Adelaide SA branch and Lutheran Tract Mission were abuzz with activity on Shrove Tuesday morning, with our good friends from the Lutheran Church of Australia - SA & NT District office, including Bishop Andrew Brook, and key Lutheran organisations joining us for a special presentation and, of course, pancakes!
Plenty of helping hands churned out stacks of yummy pancakes from 4 workstations across 2 kitchens.
LLL CEO Karen Pienaar offered a warm welcome to our guests on what was an enjoyable morning of community and fellowship.
Bishop Andrew reflected on the significance of Shrove Tuesday and Lent and what this important time of year means to him, and ALWS Community Action Manager Jonathan Krause gave a moving presentation about the Just One Hour initiative.
It was a wonderful event - thank you to all who came along!
